How I can change the colors of silly point and maintain the entire fleet on the same side?
I'm trying to make the checkerboard shoes (ex- customs, many will remember it easier to find when searching but I have mine on Ravelry) and calls for six points on six alternating color points in another. Is just the tip of a point, neither side setback. How I can keep all my fleet, first if I change colors? Is it necessary to turn my thread to keep the holes from both sides of the color change frequently?
If you are knitting in the round, then you'll have to make a Fair Isle stitch. It may be easier to knit 3, carry the thread diameter, then another 3, twisting the wires around each other and change colors, then keep repeating the steps. On the back, you have to carry the thread forward rather than back. If not already done just before the island, you may find it easier to carry the thread through each 2 stitches in place. You have to watch your blood and carry the thread through can end up with a stronger bond and the result wire lengths of each color in the third row. That way I could cut around 5 x 1 meter each colored thread and not have to worry about carrying the colors on the back. If the lengths are not enough, just cut when you need them. You have to watch your blood and carry the thread through can end up with a stronger union and will be very thick because of the double thickness of thread. I hope this helps. Good luck.
