How would I go about finding the value of a vintage and only existing print of a flim?
It’s a 1950s “blue”movie… very tastefully done and features Delores Del Monte, one of the first playboy centerfolds (I think she was right after Marilyn Monroe).
Anyway, how do you get something like that apprasied?
My father found the film on a trash can in Hollywood in the 50s. When my parents passed away, I found the movie still among their things. It’s something you could show your kids…
I contacted Delores, and she verified that is was her in the film.
A “blue Movie”?!? Yes, I do know what that means…and she was right after Marilyn Monroe in the bunny line up…(cough, ah don’t ask how I know that..lol..)
But any appraiser will cost you money…unless you can find the “Antiques Road Show”….they will appraise your movie for free…and then actually tell you something about it…
I would hold onto it if I was you…It does sound valuable…
or maybe a store that restores old movies could help you…or atleast put you on the right track…
Isn’t is amazing what some people throw away and think are trash!!!
